Items in this pack : Item #1 - Click to view individual item DHM1021. Suez Drop, 5th November 1956 by David Pentland. RAF Hastings drop men of 3 PARA battalion on the Egyptian airfield of El Gamil as part of the Airborne element of Operation Musketeer, an Anglo-French plan to re-open the Suez Canal after its closure by Egyptian President Nasser. Carried to their target by 18 Valettas and 9 Hastings of RAF Transport Command, and supported by air strikes by Fleet Air Arm Sea Venoms and Seahawks they quickly succeeded in securing their objective. Signed limited edition of 1150 prints. Image size 25 inches x 16.5 inches (64cm x 42cm)

The C130 Hercules is the workhorse of the Royal Air Force Air Transport (AT) fleet and is based at RAF Lyneham in Wiltshire, where it is operated by Nos 24, 30, 47 and 70 Squadrons.
